Vesting Schedule

This is the time that is taken before the employee can purchase shares of the company and get a right of ownership. It has to be fully vested and not unvested shares, and so this timeline is known as the vesting schedule.

It is a structured timeframe, commonly used in equity compensation plans, encouraging employee retention by gradually granting full ownership over time.
